Citizens Advice training

Citizens advice logoHertfordshire Law Clinic provides students with the opportunity to train with several local Citizens’ Advice including St Albans, Hertsmere and Stevenage.

Citizens Advice provides the public with free and impartial advice on their rights and responsibilities regarding all kinds of issues including bills, housing, employment, benefits and consumer rights.

Students are provided with full training to become volunteer advisers and can get involved in advising via webchat or over the phone. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to help local people resolve a variety of legal problems.

I have found it very beneficial in expanding my knowledge about things such as benefits and employment etc which is useful. It also feels great to know that for the few hours you do the web chat for, you are helping people out by giving them the information they need to solve their problems.
