Hertfordshire Law School
About Hertfordshire Law School
We train future solicitors by putting practice at the centre of learning. Students gain hands-on experience in real settings, guided by staff who are active practitioners and respected academics.
Students argue cases in a full-scale replica courtroom, advise the public through the Hertfordshire Law Clinic, and support access to justice via initiatives like Streetlaw, Support at Court, and the mobile Justice Bus. We maintain strong professional links with the judiciary, regional and national law firms and criminal justice organisations, ensuring students learn directly from those shaping legal practice today.
Our state-of-the-art Law Court Building, including authentic courtroom spaces and specialist teaching rooms, creates an immersive legal environment where theory meets practice. Courses reflect the evolving legal landscape, including modules on copyright and AI, immigration law and trial advocacy, alongside traditional legal disciplines.
Our staff, students and partners work to widen access to justice and deliver change where it matters most.
