My leadership skills started at Herts — I learned what kind of leader I am and how to step outside my comfort zone. The course prepared me for evidence-based practice, using current research and simulations to handle real clinical situations with confidence. 

Every brief and module pushed me to think differently, explain my ideas, and work confidently in a studio environment. That experience prepared me for working with industry teams from day one, and the skills I developed at Herts still shape the work I do now. 

Since completing my master’s, my career has taken off in ways I couldn’t have expected. I've not only come into the advanced clinical practitioner role, I've also been privileged to be involved in a number of humanitarian deployments around the world… The education team at Herts are phenomenal. They've got a huge amount of experience between them and the facilities are exceptional. 

The skills I acquired during the MSc Business Management course have been instrumental in terms of giving me some refinement to run my own business. 

My course taught me how to think globally and adapt my approach for different markets. I now work across international campaigns, taking UK and US strategies and making them work worldwide — a mindset that was developed during my time at Herts. 

My course taught me the theory as well as where and how to apply it. Having access to facilities like simulators and machining labs meant I came out with a really broad base of engineering and a lot of skills, which is a testament to the teaching and the quality of the team. 

Studying international business with French at Herts absolutely prepared me for industry. The resources, space and support I had gave me the launch pad I needed to succeed in my career. Being able to study abroad for two years and then return to Herts made a huge difference to my development, the cultural exposure and the resources I had access to. 

My degree at Herts gave me the tools needed to work in industry. I learned how to research independently, seek out knowledge for myself, and adapt - skills that have been essential in my career at Airbus Defence and Space. 

Herts prepared me for my career through hands-on learning, societies, providing access to industry-standard facilities, and extracurricular activities like Formula Student. These foundations were recognised when I was named one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering. 

The critical analysis and thinking skills I developed during my degree at Herts have been essential in my role. Taking a case, analysing it from different angles and thinking outside the box is exactly what my course trained me to do. 

My time studying at Herts helped me get to where I am today. The analytical techniques I learned shaped how I think in my role, and the placement I completed was one of the best parts of the course, giving me real insight into what I’d be doing after graduation.

My time at Herts prepared me for industry by letting me work across different disciplines. We did a lot of extracurricular work, collaborating with animators and adding sound to their projects. I gained the confidence to talk about my work, represent myself, and take more agency in what I wanted to do.
