Professional development projects
Primary CPD projects for teachers
The Centre for STEM Education offer curriculum themed CPD projects to help teachers link subject understanding, pedagogy and curriculum frameworks, often encouraging cross-curricular learning, to help children make meaningful links between subjects.
The professional development is led by subject experts, sometimes in collaboration with other organisations to provide specialist expertise. The projects usually run across half a term or term, but some are longer.
During the CPD, we work with teachers to plan and implement a curriculum project relevant to their classroom and children, offering support through online drop in and networking sessions. A final celebration and evaluation session enables teachers to share practice and reflect on their learning with other participants.
The cost of these CPD projects is £200 per school which entitles two teachers to participate.

I have attended many courses over my 27 years teaching, but the structure and focus of this project means it has had the biggest impact on my own and the pupils’ learning of any CPD I have attended. Thank you for thinking outside the box and putting together a brilliant bit of CPD. I will be recommending it to everyone I meet!
