The Campus Pharmacy is now closed. Access to medications, prescriptions, and health advice and support will still be available in the local area. For information about pharmacies in Hatfield, please visit the NHS website. For information about medical services and advice on campus, please visit Ask Herts or the NHS.

The Medical Centre is a GP Practice based on our College Lane campus. The service is for students living on campus or in the local area. All the doctors and nurses have extensive experience and a special interest in caring for students. The surgery also has access for wheelchairs and facilities for disabled people.

The Medical Centre is able to help with a wide variety of health-related ailments in a private and confidential manner.

To use the service it is an NHS requirement that you formally register with us.

Our doctors look after around 15,000 patients here and at our main surgery in Welham Green. We also employ nursing and ancillary staff.

When calling the Medical Centre, please identify yourself as a University patient to avoid confusion.

Appointments can be booked between 08:30 and 18:30. After 17:00 (12.30 outside of term time) please note the telephone will be answered at our main site, Potterells Medical Centre. Please advise the receptionist that you are registered at the University Medical Centre. If the doctor needs to see you when the surgery is closed you can be seen at Potterells.


The Pharmacy is located in the Hutton Hub on the College Lane campus. Potterells Medical Centre is located in Welham Green.
