Our Economics degrees provide our graduates with key subject and employability skills along with an appreciation of the increasingly international character of markets and institutions.
We have fifteen respected economists whose teaching and research interests cover a wide range of areas within the subject. We offer undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business Economics as well as economics on our joint honours programmes.

Research interests among the group cover a variety of fields which include:
- institutional economics
- sports economics
- econometric analysis of money demand
- happiness and migration
We have a vibrant research community with many PhD students. There is an active seminar programme with both internal and external speakers (including two Nobel laureates in recent years).
