Economics

Our Economics degrees provide our graduates with key subject and employability skills along with an appreciation of the increasingly international character of markets and institutions.

We have 15 respected economists whose teaching and research interests cover a wide range of areas within the subject. We offer undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business Economics as well as economics on our joint honours programmes.

Economics is home to a diverse group of academics whose teaching and research interests cover key areas of business analysis such as institutional economics, sports economics, econometric analysis of money demand as well as happiness and migration.

Subject leads

The group is led by Subject Group Head, Frank Currie.

The group sits with the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics, led by Jon Easter.
