Key information

Course Leader: Dr Candan Ertubey-Sterling

Level: 7

Start date: September 2026

Entry Requirements

In order to study the MSc Top-up, you will need to have successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Please visit MSc/PgDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy application portal to apply for the Top-up in 2026/27.

When you successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, we would strongly encourage you to "top up" to the full MSc CBT. You will need to study the following modules in this order:

  1. Research Methods in Health & Social Care (7HSK2211)
  2. Preparation for Research Project in Health & Social Care (7HSK2210)
  3. Research Project in Health & Social Care (7HSK2209)

Throughout your study, you will be facilitated to develop intellectual and critical thinking in evaluating the evidence that underpins your knowledge and the practice of CBT interventions.

The cost per 15 credit module is £945 in the 26/27 academic year. 60 credits are needed to complete the MSc, so the cost to “top up” to the full masters is £3780 in the 26/27 academic year. (Please note this elates to students assessed as UK/home self-funded for fee purposes.  Prices may differ for students that are assessed as EU Overseas/Overseas)
