In 2020 we opened our Enterprise Hub building on the de Havilland campus to expand the support we provide for businesses in the region and beyond. This, coupled with our status as a University Enterprise Zone, reinforces an entrepreneurial vision that runs through everything that we do. More information about support for businesses

Business Incubation

Do you have an early-stage business? Herts alumni can join our business incubator for free and benefit from access to the University's experts, equipped workspaces and a network of like-minded individuals.

The Volunteer Business Support Scheme

In response to businesses seeking more support following the Covid pandemic and Brexit, Hertfordshire Growth Hub, powered by the Hertfordshire LEP in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire devised the Volunteer Business Support Scheme, a free and confidential 1-2-1 mentoring programme.

Flare Ignite

Our enterprise ideas challenge, Flare Ignite, is a highly competitive annual competition giving budding Herts students and alumni (up to 4 years from completing your studies) entrepreneurial support and training to bring their business ideas to life.

Graduate Entrepreneur Programme

This programme supports a number of first degree graduates each year in their journey towards being their own boss.
Support incudes financial support, paid in instalments and full time membership of our Incubation Centre. Each member is assigned a peer buddy to share their journey to have a more supportive experience. Email enterprise@herts.ac.uk for more information and to apply.
