The School of Creative Arts at The University of Hertfordshire offers a range of exciting short courses designed to meet the needs of young people, creative professionals and the creatively curious. Our courses are scheduled to offer maximum flexibility for individual lifestyles, and are suitable for all budgets, experience and age groups.
Our courses are run by a wide range of tutors and leading industry professionals who are skilled artists, designers and technicians with substantial experience in their disciplines. Each are dedicated to offering you the opportunity to explore your creative potential, in a supportive environment, with access to all of the technical resources you need.
Whether you’re a beginner looking for a new hobby, a professional artist looking to refine your skills, or a parent looking for classes which are fun and educational for kids and teens, we have something for everyone. We are constantly updating and improving our courses to ensure they offer skills in line with industry trends, and incorporate the newest technologies. Whether you’re looking for something technical like web design or 3D printing, or something more traditional such as pattern cutting, glass art or life drawing, there will be a course to fit your needs.

Courses run on weekdays, evenings, Saturdays. We also offer bespoke training, summer courses for adults and children, and portfolio courses to aid sixth formers/college students with their university applications.
