7WHS0027 Legislation and Policy Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion (Online)

About the course

This module will help you understand the overall picture of government policy, legislation and the impact on practice in national and international contexts.

Who should attend this course?

Anyone who is interested in the impact of legislation and policy on practice and vice versa, this module has a specifically international flavour with mental health recovery and social inclusion at the heart of the examples.

Course content

In this module, you will acquire knowledge of current European and USA recovery policy and legislation that is central to managing good quality services. Key issues in formulating viable policies and legislation in this field within the participating member states and by the EU are investigated. The application of the new meaning of recovery in everyday policy and practice has emerged at a slower pace, and so good practice examples of such policies and legislation are examined in the module.
