University life and experience
Before starting university, Kafayat did a lot of research into which course and university would be right for her. The University of Hertfordshire caught her attention as a lot of her friends from her home country had graduated from here and that had expressed how supportive academic staff were.
She says, her course and her time at the University has greatly ‘improved my career prospects in a huge variety of ways.’ The most important of which were the amount of new opportunities it offered particularly as an international student.
‘It offered new opportunities as an International student who moved out of her comfort zone, it gave me the opportunity to diversify and expand the group of people that I know in my career and that has been of great advantage.’
Kafayat currently works as a Special Events Intern at UNICEF USA. She finds her current role and career path extremely rewarding and hopes her future career continues to make a difference to the lives to children across the world. She says, she wants to ‘Save the world, one child at a time.’
