We are committed to helping our staff and students do the things that collectively make a big difference. If you are interested in getting involved, why not:
- join our cycle to work scheme—this is an HMRC-approved salary sacrifice program that provides the most cost-effective way to get new cycling equipment. By participating, you won’t have to pay tax or National Insurance on these products, saving you up to 47%
- take part in our annual ‘Green Teams’ competition—an initiative for staff to promote environmental efforts such as litter picks, environmental talks, charity collections, and low-carbon footprint lifestyles
- help make our university a ‘Hedgehog Friendly Campus’ by supporting our initiatives. We proudly achieved Bronze in 2023 and are aiming for Silver in 2025
- support our local foodbank by contributing to the collection points across campus
- undertake free and accredited carbon literacy training
- join our Sustainability Staff Network group
- join the student Green Team
- attend a biodiversity campus walk.
