Start dates

• you need to set up your MFA before you can complete Online Registration
• when prompted on screen, please select the Microsoft Authenticator option. You will need to download the Microsoft MFA app to your smart phone. The Microsoft MFA app is the most secure option and will enable you to sign into your account anywhere in the world

• involves checking and updating your personal details on the portal
• do this online before you travel while waiting for your visa approval, your system access including your timetable will be granted afterwards
• you will be able to set up your Hertfordshire account and then access your joining instructions from 40 days before your course start date
• it can take up to 24 hours to receive your portal log in details once you reach the registration stage.

You need to link your UKVI account with your approved eVisa before you can book your face-to-face appointment.

• once you have your eVisa set up, generate a Right to Study share code
• When generating a share code, select "other" for a Right to Study share code. It should begin with an "S"
• input this share code into your Hertfordshire online registration portal
• you will then see a new box appear to allow you to book your face-to-face registration appointment
• your share code will show as under staff review until you attend your face-to-face registration appointment
• your appointment involves the University checking copies of your important documents. A list of the documents you need to bring will be on your registration portal, and will include a requirement to show entry evidence to the UK. This could be in the form of a physical boarding pass or physical travel documents for example
• it will be done face-to-face at the University once you are in the UK (check the table below for your deadline)
• pay a minimum 50% of your tuition fees prior to completing face-to-face registration in line with the liability dates
• completed via a booked appointment and you should complete this as soon as possible after arriving.

You must be fully registered onto your course and be in the UK by the deadline dates shown in the table below, otherwise you will not be able to commence your studies with us and would need to return back home.

You must aim to be ready to start your course on the start date confirmed in the course registrations and arrivals deadline table.

You should complete registration as soon as you are able to in order to become an official University of Hertfordshire student. Complete online registration while you are waiting for your visa approval and before you travel to the UK and complete face-to-face registration as soon as possible after arrival and in line with your appointment.

You must have arrived in the UK by your courses deadline and be ready for face to face teaching.
