Delivered with support from City St George's, University of London, our Medicine MBBS combines rigorous academic study with practical clinical training, giving you the opportunity to learn in healthcare environments from the outset and develop the expertise to make a difference in patients' lives.
Initially the MBBS degree will be available to international students only, with plans to open to UK fee-paying students soon after. With a longstanding reputation in medical sciences, ranked 12th in the UK (National Student Survey, 2025), Herts is well-positioned to address the growing demand in this field.
A Medicine MBBS at Herts will be taught through a combination of lectures, small group sessions, and clinical teaching. The course features a hybrid of case-based and problem-based learning, along with comprehensive clinical skills and simulation training. You'll have the chance to intercalate during your studies, earning an additional qualification. A key highlight of the course is the opportunity to engage with patients and participate in clinical placements as early as your first year.
