We understand that students from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller backgrounds have a unique cultural heritage that should be acknowledged and celebrated. That is why our Student Success team is dedicated to providing culturally informed help and guidance to support you to be successful throughout your journey at Herts and beyond.
Who we support
Home fee, undergraduate students, under the age of 25 (at the start of their degree), who identify as being of Gypsy, Roma or Traveller heritage.
Start your journey
- Visit the University on one of our open days, this is a great chance to get to know the campus, ask questions, and meet the Student Success team.
- If you feel comfortable to do so, share your ethnicity status on your UCAS application form in the 'more about you' section. This helps us to offer you information about the support and opportunities available.
- Check our entry requirements page for information about contextual offers for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller applicants; this may reduce your course entry requirements by up to one grade.

If you are a home fee, undergraduate student, under the age of 25 at the start of your degree, you may be eligible for our support package which you can explore below.
