• a dedicated member of the team who can provide you with advice, personalised support, and regular check-ins throughout your degree;
• a monthly Student Success bulletin featuring exclusive opportunities, lots of useful information and top tips for making the most of life at university.

Student Opportunity Fund

• Apply for up to £1000 to access extra and co-curricular activities.

Short-term and other financial support

• Priority consideration for the University’s financial assistance funds, including expert advice from our Student Funding and Financial Support team on managing your finances.
• Help with applying for emergency financial support.

Device support

• If you are studying without a suitable device for university, we may be able to assist with the provision of a new laptop.

Diagnostic assessment support

• If you're using the University’s diagnostic service to assess for dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other specific learning difficulties, we can help cover the cost of your assessment.

We will support you with accommodation and accommodation-related issues. We offer:

• access to our accommodation discount scheme to help with the cost of your rent living on campus;
• support with accommodation issues (both on campus and privately rented accommodation) through our connections with the University's Housing and Welfare teams.

You’ll have priority access to a range of opportunities to help develop your employment skills and Graduate Attributes. You can:

• apply to be a Widening Access and Student Success ambassador or a Widening Participation Student Adviser. These are paid roles which will help you to gain valuable employment experience;
• receive support to prepare for the career of your choice by working closely with our expert colleagues in the Careers and Employment Service.
