Hertfordshire LGBT+ Law Clinic

We offer free legal advice to the LGBT+ community on issues including:

• change of name and gender recognition certificate applications
• discrimination at work
• hate crime
• relationship breakdown
• tenancy disputes.

Our advice is provided by solicitors or trained law students working under the supervision of our qualified solicitors. We offer a professional and confidential service with support from lawyers from the LGBT+ Lawyers Division of the Law Society.

The Clinic has the support of the University of Hertfordshire’s LGBT+ Staff Network and LGBT+ Student Society. Clinic students receive equality, diversity and inclusion training, with specific guidance around LGBT+ issues.

The clinic is open during University term time.
