Cybersecurity Lab

The Cybersecurity Lab, part of the Cybersecurity and Computing Systems Research Group led by Dr Alexios Mylonas, drives research and innovation in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and network security.

Our lab focuses on developing adaptive, intelligent security solutions to counter emerging, sophisticated threats, malicious activity, and covert communications. Our interdisciplinary research explores cutting-edge developments in security protocols, digital forensics and incident response, with a strong emphasis on data-driven methodologies. By integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL), we aim to predict, detect, and mitigate cyber threats proactively enhancing resilience and trust in digital systems. Our work, which is funded by UK industry and government agencies, is also shared with professional communities, including OWASP and ENISA.
