The Cybersecurity and Computing Systems (CCS) Research Group has expertise in cybersecurity, computer systems and architecture, and software algorithms and operates under the Networks and Security Research Centre (NSRC).
CSS research is funded by UKRI and UK industry. Members of CSS have a strong track record of delivering applied research projects for UK industry and government, driving innovation through funded R&D, consultancy, and our specialist professional doctorate in Cyber Security.
The Cybersecurity Research Lab is part of CCS.
Alexios Mylonas
Leader of Cybersecurity and Computing Systems (CCS) Research Group
Alexios Mylonas is the Leader of Cybersecurity and Computing Systems Research Group and the Coordinator of the Cybersecurity Laboratory. He is also a founding Chapter Leader for OWASP Dorset, promoting secure software practices across the South of the UK. His research interests focus on i) IoT security, ii) incident response and iii) web security and fraud detection. He has published in esteemed scientific venues, with several well-cited works contributing to the advancement of cybersecurity. He teaches modules centred on ethical hacking, providing students with the practical skills needed to identify, exploit, and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
