The Intelligent Control Autonomous Systems (ICAS) Lab is conducting research in the areas of Intelligent Systems, Energy and Power Systems and Control and Autonomous Systems.
The research in Intelligent Systems includes engineering applications of Artificial Intelligence like biometrics, voice audio and image processing, health applications and energy informatics as well as AI on the edge. The Energy and Power Systems research include smart grids, electric machinery, condition monitoring, power electronics, and renewable energy,
The Control and Autonomous Systems research include adaptive control, autonomous vehicles and system simulation.
Prof. Iosif Mporas

Prof Iosif Mporas is a Professor of Signal Processing and Machine Learning. His research includes applications of Artificial Intelligence including health and energy informatics. Prof Mporas has participated in several R&D projects funded by EU and UKRI. He serves as reviewer in several international conferences and journals as well as reviewer of grant applications.
