We welcome applicants from around the world and often accept local country qualifications in line with the course entry requirements. If you have qualifications from Portugal, we can review your eligibility for your programme of interest. Just send in copies of your academic transcripts and awards when you make your application. Regional qualifications and entry requirements
For the majority of our programmes, we typically accept the following qualifications from Portugal:

| Undergraduate (year 1) | Certificade de fim de Estudios Secundarios with an overall average grade of between 15 - 16, depending on subject choice: 16 for courses which require 280 UCAS tariff points 15 for courses which require 260 UCAS tariff points. | IELTS 6.0. |
| Undergraduate (year 2/3) | No agreed progression routes in place - if you apply to the University following part completion of a degree, or completion of a diploma, your application will be individually assessed. | IELTS 6.0. |
| Pre-masters | Completion of Licenciado/Diploma de estudos superiors especializados with less than 14. | IELTS 5.5. |
| Postgraduate taught | Completion of Licenciado/Diploma de estudos superiors especializados with: 14 for courses requiring a 2.2 17 for courses requiring a 2.1. | IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depending on course). |
