Transferring to the University
Here at the University of Hertfordshire we understand that you might change your mind about your course or choice of university.
If you have changed your mind or if your circumstances are now different, it may be possible to transfer on to one of our courses even, if you started your studies at another university.
Want to change the course you're studying?
If you would like to change to a completely new course, you can make a new application via UCAS or directly using our application form and following our guidance or by using one of our approved overseas representatives. You will need to resubmit your qualifications and write a new personal statement in line with your new course of interest.
The University will assess your application and will contact you about your next steps.
Studying a course at another university but want to study it at Herts instead?
If you would like to stay on the same or similar course but would like to change your university and study at Herts instead, you will need to make a new application to us. If you have already completed full years of study with your existing university, you can select second or third year entry on your application form. Some of our courses do not allow advanced entry directly into third year.
You can apply via UCAS or directly using our application form and following our guidance or by using one of our approved overseas representatives. During your application, you will be asked to send us copies of your study transcripts so that we can assess your progress and advise you about your appropriate year of study.
Please note that if you have completed your first year at another university, you will not be automatically entitled to come on to the second year of the course at Hertfordshire as we assess each course and student individually.
