About the course

Suitable for high performing athletes, coaches, development professionals, managers and support staff. We have students on the BSc Business and Sport Management from an array of sports, including professional cricket, football and rugby players. Also athletes that have represented their sport in International competition including summer and winter Olympics.

This course intends to improve your confidence for Higher Education. While also developing your knowledge of Business and Sport Management concepts and honing key professional skills and attributes.

Course content

This module is focused on introducing and developing skills required to be a successful student in Higher Education through reflecting upon the motivation to study on a BSc Business and Sports Management programme. With regards to academic skills, this module primarily provides an introduction to the academic, communication and IT skills that students will require to become effective autonomous online learners in Higher Education. The transition between being a sport professional to the skills that are required to be a successful student will be reflected upon. This module will also consider future career intentions post-graduation of this BSc Business and Sports Management with personal development action plans being created.
