Who should attend this course? 

This course is suitable for registered nurses or health care professionals with recent experience and training in vaccination and immunisation, who require an update in this area.


Course Overview

This one-day course will provide an update on the routine childhood immunisation schedule in the UK, the current vaccine programme and contemporary issues relating to vaccination/immunisation.

  • Overview of the current routine childhood vaccination schedule in the UK
  • Recent changes to the schedule
  • Managing parent/carers’ concerns
  • Managing an uncertain vaccination history
  • Strategies to maximise vaccine uptake
  • Professional and practical issues in vaccination/immunisation

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered online via MS Teams, by experienced teachers who have specialist knowledge of vaccination/immunisation.

A variety of interactive approaches will be used to facilitate peer learning and networking with colleagues.  At the end of the course you will be provided with a certificate that can be used, where required, as evidence to support you in your preparations for NMC revalidation.
