About us

Inspiring learning in STEM subjects

The University of Hertfordshire's Centre for STEM Education sits within the School of Education and delivers continuing professional development (CPD) programmes for science, technology, engineering, computing and mathematics (STEM) educators.

The centre draws on cutting edge research and practice across the university, in areas such as education, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, astronomy, ecology, computer science and more.

The Centre has strong links with local schools and colleges, as well as STEM stakeholders and businesses who are keen to help improve STEM education and increase future talent pipelines. We are pleased to contribute to Herts and Essex Science Learning Partnership science CPD programmes and to Saffron Walden County High School Computing Hub’s computing CPD programmes.
