Hertsquad Club Sport Compete
If you're ready to take things up a level from Active Students, Club Sport Compete offers a more competitive experience—right here on campus. You'll go head-to-head with other University of Hertfordshire students in structured matches, with all equipment provided. We also supply trained sports activators and, for sports like football, qualified officials from national governing bodies—creating a supportive and fair environment for everyone.

Want to compete at a higher level? Club Sport Represent gives you the chance to join one of over 25 sports clubs and represent the University of Hertfordshire in national university leagues and competitions. Whether you're an experienced athlete or looking to take your sport further, you'll train with a team, develop your skills, and compete against other universities across the UK—all while being part of a supportive and competitive community.
Hertsquad Club Sport Performance
The University of Hertfordshire competes at a high-performance level in American Football, Basketball, Netball, Women’s Football, and Men’s and Women’s Futsal. Student-athletes selected for these programmes benefit from expert coaching, dedicated support services, and access to top-level training throughout their time at Herts. Scholarship opportunities are also available for talented athletes who demonstrate strong commitment and potential in their sport.
