Delivered by Herts Mind Network, this session explores the impact that digital technology, social media and artificial intelligence (AI) can have on our mental health and wellbeing. As technology becomes increasingly embedded in our daily lives, this workshop will examine both the benefits and challenges of living in an always-connected world.

You will gain a greater understanding of how technology can influence mood, relationships, productivity and self-esteem, while learning practical strategies to develop healthier digital habits and maintain positive mental wellbeing.

This workshop aims to help you to:

  • Explore the relationship between mental health, social media, digital technology and AI.
  • Understand the potential benefits and risks of technology on wellbeing, including comparison, information overload, digital burnout and online safety.
  • Recognise the signs that technology use may be negatively affecting mental health.
  • Learn practical tools and techniques to create healthier digital habits, set boundaries and improve digital wellbeing.
  • Develop strategies to manage screen time, reduce stress and maintain a healthy balance between online and offline life.
  • Increase confidence in using technology and AI in a way that supports, rather than hinders, mental health.
