VERT Room
The Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Training (VERT) Room gives radiotherapy students a full-scale virtual treatment suite, using life-sized projections and interactive controls to practise treatment planning safely.
Students position a virtual patient, adjust radiotherapy equipment, and align radiation beams without exposure to real radiation. Real CT scans can be loaded so students can identify tumour location, plan dose distribution, and see nearby organs that need protecting.
The space supports solo and group exercises. Tutors can observe, guide, and repeat scenarios, helping students understand how radiotherapy treatment plans are delivered.
