Flight Simulation Lab

From desktop simulators to a full-scale cockpit replica and advanced flight simulation, the Flight Simulation Laboratory gives students the opportunity to develop practical aviation skills in realistic flying environments.

Students use simulation technology to practise emergency procedures, complex manoeuvres and cockpit transitions in a safe, controlled environment, helping them build experience of situations they may encounter in professional aviation. Desktop simulators allow flight conditions and aircraft behaviour to be customised, supporting both practical learning and data collection.

A full-scale replica of a Cessna 172 cockpit provides experience of aircraft controls, instrumentation and cockpit layout, helping students develop a deeper understanding of flight operations. Students can step inside the simulator and experience the look and feel of a real aircraft while building familiarity with cockpit ergonomics and systems.

The ALSIM 250 simulator supports advanced training and aircraft design projects, allowing students to test aerodynamic modifications and evaluate performance under realistic flight conditions with real-time instructor feedback. It also supports multiple aircraft models and meets aviation authority standards, providing an immersive environment for both learning and research.
