Flexible study spaces on our campuses

From soundproof pods and quiet study corners to collaborative booths and social lounges, flexible study spaces across College Lane and de Havilland offer a variety of settings for students, staff and visitors to focus, meet and work together.

Areas such as Spectra, Chapman Lounge, Hutton Hub, The Forum, The Oval, Enterprise Hub and the Business Incubation Centre provide a mix of open seating, breakout areas, shared tables, quieter spots, Wi Fi and charging points to suit different tasks and ways of working.

Located within teaching buildings, cafés and shared social areas, they provide plenty of choice for those looking for somewhere to study, catch up with others or take a break.

Many also feature bright, open spaces and access to outdoor seating, with some offering views across the surrounding countryside and green spaces, giving people the opportunity to enjoy the University's grounds while studying, meeting or spending time with others.

Exclusive postgraduate and doctoral areas on the de Havilland Campus provide dedicated facilities for independent study, research and group work, while locations across both campuses support everything from focused study to discussion and group projects.

Learning Resources Centres on both campuses provide additional study space, quiet areas and access to academic resources.
