Fashion Studios

From pattern cutting to garment construction, the Fashion Studios provide the tools, space and technical support needed to develop professional-level collections.

Our Fashion Studios are equipped to industry standard, allowing students to take ideas from sketchbook concepts to finished garments. The spaces include individual workstations with industrial sewing machines, overlockers and pressing equipment, as well as larger communal tables for cutting and construction. Dedicated areas are provided for pattern cutting, fabric storage and fitting, enabling students to work efficiently across all stages of design.

The studios are complemented by a print room for fabric experimentation and a technical workshop for specialist finishing processes. Students have access to pattern cutting mannequins in a wide range of sizes, as well as industrial steam irons and heat presses.

Technical support is available throughout, with experienced staff offering guidance on machinery, processes and health and safety. This ensures that students can develop technical competence alongside creative flair.

Beyond making, the studios also support collaborative projects and fashion shows, preparing students to present their work in professional contexts. By combining traditional craft with modern technology, the Fashion Studios give students the resources and confidence to create collections that stand out in a competitive industry.
