Environment Chamber

Our Environment Chamber is a controlled laboratory facility that simulates extreme temperature, humidity, and altitude conditions for sport, exercise, and environmental performance research.

Students and researchers replicate high‑altitude and high‑heat conditions to examine physical performance, recovery, and acclimatisation. Teaching and research activity then centres on the data generated by these testing sessions.

The facility also supports athletes preparing for exposure to extreme climates in international competition.
