Art Classroom
Our Art Classroom offers trainee Art and Design teachers an immersive space to develop lessons, rehearse teaching, and explore how they can inspire creativity in real-world settings.
Students use the space to gain the practical teaching skills they’ll take straight into schools. Here, they can test ideas, create resources, and explore how visual learning engages different age groups.
Large display boards line the walls, giving future teachers regular practice in presenting work and designing clear, curriculum linked classroom displays. Nearby specialist facilities include a kiln for ceramic and clay projects, enabling students to experience the full creative process from concept to finished piece. At the end of the year, the room transforms into an exhibition space where trainees showcase their work, mirroring the classrooms they will go on to lead.
