Art and Design Gallery

With its glass fronted atrium and six metre high ceilings, you can’t miss our Art and Design Gallery, set in the lobby of the School of Creative Arts on College Lane. With 100 metres of hanging space and 200 square metres of open floor area, it’s built for ambitious, large scale exhibitions.

The gallery is a vibrant hub for contemporary visual arts, hosting an ambitious programme of residencies, commissions, and pop ups that bring a steady flow of new work into the space. Its flexible layout supports everything from experimental installations to major public shows, with work by artists such as Permindar Kaur, Caroline Achaintre, Valerie Inns, and Augustin Rebetez.

A purpose built immersive experience zone with wraparound projection, spatial sound, and interactive media expands the gallery’s potential for multisensory storytelling, gaming, performance, and large scale public events. The Gallery also hosts our annual School of Creative Arts Graduate Degree Show, where students present final year work in a professional exhibition setting and gain practical experience curating and promoting their ideas.
