Our Animation Labs offer students the chance to train using the same professional tools and technologies that shape modern film, television, and interactive media.
High performance Intel i7 workstations run professional software including Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Blender, Nuke, Toon Boom Harmony, Unreal Engine, Unity, and Adobe Creative Cloud. A dedicated 3D and VFX lab provides access to a render farm for complex scenes, while specialist labs support digital drawing, animation, and real time games development using Unreal Engine 5 and Quixel.
Students move between disciplines as projects evolve, allowing ideas to scale from early concepts through to finished work. With support from expert tutors and technical staff to fine-tune their knowledge at every stage, Herts graduates leave confident and career ready.
