Analytical Chemistry Teaching Laboratory

Supporting teaching and research, our analytical chemistry lab is where theory meets precision. Students and staff use industry-standard instruments found in pharmaceutical, regulatory and research settings, building confidence in real world decision making.

Core facilities include gas chromatography (GC), high‑performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), UV‑Vis and infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP‑MS). Together, these techniques support the separation, identification and quantification of complex samples, from assessing purity to detecting trace‑level impurities.

A dedicated instrument suite adds LC‑MS and GC‑MS capability, enabling highly sensitive molecular analysis and deeper insight into composition and structure. This breadth of instrumentation allows students to progress from foundational techniques to advanced analytical approaches within a single, professionally equipped environment.
