Herts ranked a top UK university for graduate success
The University of Hertfordshire has been ranked 35th in the UK for graduates securing highly skilled jobs, according to the latest Daily Mail analysis of graduate outcomes.
Published alongside the Daily Mail University Guide, in which Herts was ranked 52nd out of 128 UK institutions, the analysis was designed to spotlight the universities delivering the strongest return on investment for students.
Drawing on national Graduate Outcomes data, the ranking assesses how effectively universities prepare students for the workplace, measuring factors including the proportion of graduates entering highly skilled employment, graduate salaries and whether recent graduates feel their careers are on track.
The graduate employment measures account for a quarter of a university's overall score in the Daily Mail University Guide, reflecting the growing importance prospective students place on career prospects and return on investment when choosing where to study.

In its review of the University, the Daily Mail describes Herts as "a well-respected, highly ranked modern university" and highlights its continued investment in facilities, innovation and student success. Particular praise is given to the Hertfordshire Medical School - the University's new medical school – which will welcome its first cohort of students this year, alongside significant investment in healthcare, engineering and specialist teaching facilities.
The review also recognises Herts' strong reputation in health-related subjects and its emphasis on practical, industry-relevant learning, from virtual reality healthcare training environments to advanced engineering testing facilities. It notes that this approach is translating into strong graduate outcomes, with graduates securing highly skilled jobs and competitive salaries.
The University's diverse and inclusive student community, including significant numbers of students from underrepresented backgrounds and those who are the first in their family to attend university, is also highlighted.
