RAF Wing Commander features on Powered By Herts Podcast
Manjeet is a Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and has served in the Armed Forces as an engineer for over 25 years. His engineering career began at the University of Hertfordshire, where he completed a BEng Aerospace Engineering degree in 1998.
Known for his outstanding outreach work, which he delivers to young people and communities in underrepresented areas of the UK, he was awarded an OBE by The King in 2022. Manjeet also received an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.
Manjeet came back to Herts to record the podcast from the University’s Spectra building, home to the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science. He toured the state-of-the-art facility before talking to the Alumni Relations team about his passion for engineering, his time at university, and his extraordinary career.
He also offered his expert advice to students and graduates considering a career in engineering or the Armed Forces.
