Herts alumna wins prestigious Blogger of the Year award at TravMedia Awards 2025
University of Hertfordshire alumna Hannah Verman has been named Blogger of the Year at the TravMedia Awards 2025, alongside her partner Jonny Verman. The award recognises UK excellence in travel blogging and content creation and is one of the most sought-after accolades in the travel media industry.
Hannah, who graduated with a Geography degree from Herts in 2014, was recognised at an illustrious awards ceremony held at The Londoner, Leicester Square on 12 May 2025. Hosted by broadcaster Vernon Kay, the event celebrated top achievements across 30 media, PR and content creator categories, including Travel Writer of the Year, PR Professional of the Year, and Content Creator of the Year.
Hannah Verman said:
“Winning Blogger of the Year still feels completely surreal. It’s such a wonderful way to be recognised for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at Finding Our Adventure. It feels like confirmation that we’re doing something right. Hannah and Jonny aim to continue with their blog Finding Our Adventure, bringing their experiences to other travel enthusiasts. Hannah added:
“I highly recommend doing a placement if you are studying Geography. Mine gave me valuable work experience before graduating, and it led to my first job at the local water company. I worked there for seven years before taking Finding Our Adventure on full-time, and that experience helped me understand what I wanted in a career. Travel teaches you so much about yourself. It builds confidence, sharpens problem-solving skills and helps you develop experiences that will make you stand out to future employers.”
