Join us for a Mathematics taster session on Networks, a fascinating area of Maths that explores how things are connected. Networks are modelled mathematically by ‘graphs’ (a different type of graph from the graph of a function). They are everywhere, from road networks to the massive networks of neuron connections or all friendships on Facebook. We will get to know graphs and some of their key features and learn how to solve real-world problems. We will also explore what mathematics looks like at university level. No prior maths knowledge required beyond counting and doing sums!
