The Extracellular Vesicles field has a broad reaching potential and is of growing interest in biomedicine and more broadly in the life sciences. Understanding EVs’ role in intercellular communication, helps us both understand disease pathology, but also by providing therapeutic solutions, to contribute to translational research. EV research impacts on various areas in the life sciences, including cancer, autoimmune and degenerative disease, sports science, infectious disease (plant as well as animal) and vaccine research.
EVRU was founded in 2019 and is in a 5-year plan to utilise its basic research into the biology of EVs for translational solutions for cancer and infectious disease.
