The Student Room (TSR) is an online student community and networking tool for young people to connect with other students and universities on an individual level for advice and support. Students ask questions in forums on a wide range of topics, from choosing the best laptop to university options and career possibilities.

Herts has its own forum, where prospective and current students can discuss anything about the University.

The official rep is a branded and verified profile on the site, enabling us as a University to connect with students by answering their questions and providing advice from a trusted account.

We are looking for two representatives (one undergraduate student, and one postgraduate student) to work alongside the team in Marketing and Communications to respond to queries and posts in the forum. The role involves:

• monitoring the chat forum from email alerts where Herts is mentioned and answering questions from an undergraduate or postgraduate perspective
• starting conversations on useful and relevant topics to engage students on the forum and grow the presence of Herts on the platform
• one hour a week dedicated time on the platform (paid, of course)
• being a brand ambassador and sharing your passion and positive experiences of Herts.

Being the official rep for Herts on The Student Room forums will help you power up your CV, with skills in communicating with different audiences, writing, customer service, time management, use of new systems and so much more!

Don't forget, like all other ambassador work, this is a paid opportunity! And if you're selected to become one of the official reps, you'll be expected to spend one hour spread across each week on the platform.
