Free Introductory Taster Sessions to our Creative Arts Therapies CPD: Innovative practice, research & supervision provided courtesy of the University of Hertfordshire

Taster dates and times
Taster session 1 – Supervision skills, knowledge & methods - Wednesday 12 May 2021 from 16:00 to 18:00 GMT
Taster session 2 - Practice into research – completing the reflective cycle - Wednesday 14 July 2021 from 16:00 to 18:00 GMT
The tasters will be delivered through a University of Hertfordshire Zoom platform.
Our 2-hour introductory taster sessions will introduce practitioners to the new Creative Arts Therapies CPD: Innovative practice, research & supervision course. The two tasters focus on two of the modules: Supervision skills, knowledge & methods and Practice into research and will provide an overview of the new course that starts in May 2021. Both tasters will be run by the Course Director, Gary Nash.

Taster 1: Supervision skills, knowledge & methods – using art-based reflective supervisory approach
This taster provides students with the overview of the course module which introduces the underpinning theory and practice experience to develop an arts-based approach to clinical supervision using a lecture and ‘live’ skills workshop format.
Taster 2: Practice into research – completing the reflective cycle – research skills, methods & developments.
This taster provides students with an overview of the course module which introduces an integrative approach to research and uses a lecture, paper presentation and discussion format.
Our course director Gary Nash, a founder member of the London Arts Therapy Centre, qualified art therapist and supervisor and art-based researcher will be leading the programme.

This modular programme will be delivered at post-graduate level. Students will be qualified creative arts and expressive arts therapists, registered to practice in their home country. The programme is aimed at qualified, registered and practising art, drama and music therapists in the UK and registered expressive arts therapists worldwide.

The University of Hertfordshire are offering these tasters free of charge with the aim of providing an overview of the new CPD courses for registered practitioners due to begin in May 2021 and January 2022.
