Entry Requirements

Students must be working in a health care setting.   Evidence of study and completion at Level 5 (Diploma Qualification).

Students are encouraged to contact the Module Leader before completing enrolment on the module to discuss their ideas for a project. 

The module forms part of a broader CPD framework which can lead to the award of BSc (Hons) degree in Midwifery & Women's Health or can be taken as a standalone module for CPD.    This module can also be studied at Level 7 which could lead to the award of MSc Midwifery and Women's Health.

Course Overview

The aim of this module is to review evidence, and propose a practice change and plan an improvement project, choosing a project planning tool and setting SMART objectives.


The assessment for this module will be:

  • Coursework 100% - Portfolio of evidence (2500 words).
