Surgery appointments - Vacation time

Abstract

PLEASE BE AWARE: If you are returning home temporarily for the Christmas period you can stay registered with us as your GP as we can deal with most things remotely over the telephone or via e-consult. If you need to be seen face to face for a medical reason you will need to contact your home GP and ask to register as a temporary resident.

Opening hours over the holiday period:

Monday 21 - Thursday 24 Dec 8:30 - 12:30

We are closed on:

Friday 25 December 

Monday 28 December

and Friday 1 January

Our premises are also closed on dates below but on these dates patients can call between 08.30-18:30 on +44 (0)1707 284444 and their call will be transferred
to our main surgery - Potterells Medical Centre.

Tuesday 29 December

Wednesday 30 December

Thursday 31 December

We will open again on Monday 4 January.

How to make an appointment

By telephone on +44 (0)1707 284444 between: 08:30 and 18:30. Please note that after 12:30 your call will be redirected to our other surgery, Potterells Medical Centre.

Please identify yourself as a University patient when telephoning to avoid confusion.

Routine appointments

Routine appointments are available with the Practice Nurses and GPs, although the Nurses and Doctors working at the Medical Centre vary from day to day.

Please book in advance where possible.

Same day appointments

If you feel you have an urgent medical problem, please provide the receptionist with an outline of your symptoms in order that they can make you an appointment with the appropriate clinician.

Evening and Saturday appointments

Pre-booked appointments ONLY are available at our main surgery Potterells Medical Centre.

Since they were introduced in early 2009 they have proved very popular and must be booked in advance.

Telephone appointments

Advice and many queries can be dealt with over the telephone. The GPs and Practice Nurses have time set aside for telephone appointments. If you wish to speak to a Nurse or Doctor please telephone the surgery and a receptionist will be able to arrange an appointment when you can be called back.
