Robe hire for Graduation Ceremonies
Remember you must register to attend the Ceremony before you order your robes (gown, mortar board and hood).
Wearing robes is not compulsory, but the majority of graduates choose to wear them as the Graduation Ceremony is a formal event.
We have a strict academic dress code and reserve the right to refuse anyone dressed inappropriately.
Pre-order your robes
Graduates who have registered for their ceremony can pre-order robes from our approved supplier, The Graduate Gowning Company (GGC).
To order you will need your:
- Qualification
- Ceremony date & time
- Height
- Chest measurement
- Hat size
- Payment details
Graduates should pre-order to avoid disappointment on the day as spare robes cannot be guaranteed and may be charged at a higher rate.

When/where do I collect and return my robes?
Robes are collected from the Pre-Ceremony venue and you should allow at least 1 hour before your Ceremony commences to collect them. Robes are also returned here after the Ceremony.

The type of award you receive will determine the style of your robe. Take a look at our photo gallery below to get an idea of what you could wear at the Graduation Ceremony.
