LGBT+ History Month

LGBT+ History Month is celebrated every year in February. This is a chance for us to look back at history and the issues impacting the LGBT+ community. Through raising awareness and educating ourselves, we can challenge prejudice and bias, driving positive change and allyship.

For 2024, we will be running activities and sharing resources that are thought-provoking, empowering and celebratory. All students and staff are encouraged to attend the LGBT+ History Month activities.

The below content is approved for use across all relevant University social media channels. To download available assets, follow the link under each item. Please ensure you are using the correct artwork per channel (i.e. do not post artwork intended for Facebook on Instagram). Copy is intended as a guide and can be flexed depending on your audience.

There is no approved post copy, but we have provided you with guidance copy below. This will allow you flexibility with messaging. We would ask that you take the copy from the   LGBT+ History Month history webpage and refer to that for accuracy of information and adhere to the tone of voice guidelines if any slight amendments are required.
