Sports Heritage Seminar

In the latest event from the Heritage Hub's seminar series, our 'Sports Heritage' Seminar was held at the University of Hertfordshire on 21st January. The event brought together colleagues from across the University, alongside heritage professionals, to explore connections and collaborations around sports heritage.

We were joined by Emily Toettcher, Head of Programmes at the National Paralympic Heritage Trust, who spoke about the Trust's work and how community co-production is embedded in in their programming. Emily spoke about the Trust's aim to become 'seamlessly inclusive' and how other heritage organisations can work successfully with disabled communities.

We also heard from Sian Allpress, who recently completed her AHRC funded Collaborative Doctoral Partnership project at the University, with Sporting Heritage and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, about the heritage of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Sian spoke about the methodologies she used in her research and presented some of her key findings.

Overall, the event was a wonderful opportunity to connect and explore potential partnerships. Thanks for everyone who joined us!
