The Art + Design Gallery was constructed in 1998, as part of the University’s School of Creative Arts. It is a large atrium space and also functions as the school’s entrance. With its vast glass-fronted wall and six-metre-high ceilings, the light-diffused gallery offers 100 metres of hanging space and 200 square metres of floor space. It works particularly well for site-specific and site-sensitive installations.

Step Into the Immersive Cave

Discover the Immersive Cave at the heart of the Art + Design Gallery. With wraparound projection, spatial sound, and interactive media, it offers a dynamic space for immersive art, gaming, performance, experimentation, and multi-sensory storytelling. The Immersive Cave is an ever-evolving space, home to a regularly changing mix of exhibition content, academic research, and student work produced across the School of Creative Arts.
