The orchestra presents Mahler’s powerful and moving 9th Symphony. Resonating with our collective experience of the pandemic, this passionate piece expresses some of Mahler’s inner turmoil due to serious health issues.
The orchestra partner this with another intense, but the much earlier, Symphony no. 25 by fellow Austrian Mozart. Referred to as the ‘little G Minor’ it was written when the composer was just 17 years old.
