With a 30-year record of producing skilled engineers for all branches of the automotive industry, the University of Hertfordshire’s a great choice if you want to work in this cutting-edge sector.
As part of our courses, you'll benefit from industry informed teaching and develop knowledge of the latest industry tools and techniques. You will also have the opportunity to take specialist classes in vehicle structures, engine performance, aerodynamics, materials and manufacturing strategies to enable you to pursue your personal and professional goals and interests. In addition, you'll learn how to apply computer-aided engineering and industrial-standard software, recommended by the Automotive Industry Advisory Panel.
You'll benefit from access to state-of-the-art facilities including workshops and simulation suites, as well as the opportunity to design, build and race a single-seater race car in the UK Formula Student competition from your first year onwards.
Our BEng, MEng and BSc undergraduate courses are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is the first step towards chartered engineer status.
